Donna has much experience painting subjects from life, but she will paint portraits for you from reference photos, thereby eliminating the need for long posing sessions by subjects. Below are examples of both the reference photo and the portrait that Donna painted. You can see that likeness has been achieved.

The cost of a portrait painting depends on the size of the painting (sq. inches), the number of likenesses, and whether there are hands included. Likeness is difficult to achieve, and hands are very difficult to capture as well. Hands are expressive. For landscapes square inches and the degree of necessary detail determine the cost of a work. Please contact Donna and she will be happy to provide an estimate and even to be precise when the artist knows the client's requirements.
